After beating Iran in their first group game at this World Cup, England are already dreaming of another big tournament under Gareth Southgate.
And they will again be highly praised when they take on Team USA, which Wales held in the first leg.
However, it’s worth remembering that the last time these teams were paired in the World Cup group stage (South Africa 2010), the US came in first after England, after a 1-1 draw between them.
Below are the predicted lineups for both teams ahead of the Group B match.

England vs USA squads
The burning question for both sides ahead of this game was whether Harry Kane would be able to be in shape after hitting his ankle against Iran.
There was no big concern that the striker was injured at the end of the tournament, but it was speculated that he might miss the USA game as a precaution.
However, Southgate firmly dismissed these proposals from his mind, saying: “Harry is good. It would be a bold decision to leave him out of the starting lineup!”
The reaction to the news about the team was probably very different on both sides of the Atlantic.
