But the question on everyone’s lips is who will she end up with by the end of the first season? Let’s delve into Wednesday’s love life further.
Does Wednesday have a love interest in a Netflix series?
In the first season, two major players compete for Wednesday’s attention. She has Xavier Thorpe (Percy Hynes White)Nevermore student and city dweller Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan), the sheriff’s son, both fight for her love. Ironically, these two teenagers are actually enemies with a long-standing grudge against each other. Wednesday spends time with both heartthrobs and gets to know them more personally during the first season.
Xavier is the ex-boyfriend of Nevermore’s most popular student. Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday). He is a big art lover who spends most of his free time creating art. Xavier has the ability to bring his drawings and paintings to life, which is sometimes a blessing and a curse. Wednesday and Xavier have known each other since they were younger, and Xavier earns some points for saving her life. They also share the ability to see visions of the future. But soon she ceases to trust the artist, believing that he is either connected with the monster or really is the killer.
Wednesday’s other love interest is Tyler Galpin, a townsman who works at Coffee house “Weathervale”. They strike up a conversation early on in the show, and he offers to take her away from Jericho so she can escape Nevermore for good. Tyler is quite persuasive and manages to get Wednesday to go on a date with him. This is a romantic date in a local crypt with candles and watching a scary movie that Blonde in law if you are interested. Tyler also manages to get into Wednesday’s Rave’N Dance date. They end up kissing, but Wednesday’s hopes are dashed when she has a vision in which Tyler is revealed to be the monster she’s chasing.
Does Xavier have feelings for Wednesday?
Wednesday is initially cold towards Xavier, even calling him an elitist snob once. She overhears him talking to Bianca secretly and it becomes clear that he has feelings for her. He is protective of the new girl and wants to keep her safe from his roommate. Rowanwho later attacked her. Xavier invites her to join his secret society, but she refuses. Then he secretly paints her portraits – it’s a real obsession.
When she finally accuses him of being the killer, Xavier clearly attacks her. Not only does she call him a murderer, but this accusation destroys any possible future relationship they might have had together. Instead, Xavier goes to the dance with Bianca, though he ruins this romance. Even after being framed for the murder, Xavier still helps Wednesday with her investigation, but she illegally arrests him when he is framed. Wednesday is well and truly fooled, Tyler has been the enemy all this time.
Who does Wednesday end up with in the Netflix series?
The first kiss on Wednesday doesn’t go according to plan. In this romantic moment, she sees Tyler transform into monster. Her visions are rarely wrong, and she interrogates the werewolf the next day, although he does not confess to any wrongdoing. Tyler is eventually revealed to be the real monster and is subsequently arrested. Luckily, Xavier is freed, all charges are dropped, and Wednesday manages to save the Academy from ruin. Although the final battle has its victims, and the semester ends.
In one of the final scenes of the series, Xavier and Wednesday say their last goodbyes. He thanks her for saving his life and presents her with a gift. Inside the box is a mobile phone, and his phone number is already there for Wednesday if she ever wants to text him. There are no hugs, no kisses, no fairy tale ending in this romance, but there are hints that the relationship could be on the cards in future seasons. Poor Wednesday picked the wrong boy and now she has to live with her regrets, but there’s always a chance for redemption and new love next semester.
