Christmas mystery is a holiday movie about a young girl, Violet (played by Violet McGraw), who puts on a detective cap to solve the mystery of missing bells in her town. The film was directed by French director Alex Ranarivelo.Born to race, Bennett’s war) and Violet McGraw in the title role. What’s more, the film is one hour and forty minutes long and was written by John Ducey.
The full cast of the film included Oscar Nunez, Beau Bridges, Eddie Cibrian, Christoph Sanders, Drew Powell, Lauren Lindsey Donzis, Santino Barnard, Leonardo Cecchi, Alkayo Thiele, Lauren Richardson, Karen Torres, Toby Larsen, Shonte Aconyon and Brian D. Cohen. In addition, Ruben Steinberg is the cameraman and Bret Hedlund is in charge of the editing department.
The official synopsis for the film reads:
One hundred years ago, a string of Santa’s magic bells was discovered by a young boy in Pleasant Bay, Oregon, bringing the small town a century of prosperity and peace. Now, just days before Christmas, the city’s lifeblood bells have gone missing, and it’s up to a group of fearless kids to solve the case, find the bells, and bring Christmas magic back to Pleasant Bay and its people.

The film begins in the small context of Pleasant Bay, a small town that recovered from the Great Depression after a small child found some flourishing wind chimes that changed the fate of all residents. Now, almost a century later, these bells still bring peace and happiness to this place until they are finally stolen.
Violet, the town’s sheriff’s youngest daughter, takes on a mystery when she learns that her best friend’s father, George Bottoms, is accused of stealing bells. She believes in George’s innocence and forms a team with her siblings to uncover the truth about the missing bells.
This short introduction to the film is actually the heart and soul of the film. And perhaps the only exciting part of this boring and simple movie that doesn’t make you sit through a tedious ninety-minute script. Also, if by chance (and only by chance) you were able to watch the trailer before diving into the movie, then there’s nothing else to look forward to.
Ten-year-old Violet McGraw struggles to carry the entire film on her shoulder and ends up making a futile rescue attempt. In fact, at one point I was more concerned about candy at the police station than abandoned bells.

Although the film does a good job of hiding the main culprit (at least until the first thirty minutes), it makes no effort to intrigue the hunch. I also believe that the detective Christmas movies took the quote from Alfred Hitchcock. “There is no horror in the explosion, only in anticipation of it”absolutely the opposite.
The film lacks the basic innocence once found in Christmas movies and ends up trying to hide it behind a mask of touching mystery. Notably, the only enjoyable moment in the entire film was a short but hilarious performance by Oscar Nunez.
