Series 6 summary
reporters Daily Alaskan investigated unrelated cases of two missing women in Alaska Daly Episode 6. One of them was a white tourist, Henley, who fell from a cruise ship, and the other was Jade, a Yup’ik native woman. And from the jump it was clear that the government would treat these two cases in completely different ways.
Although they spent over $1 million looking for Henley, they did not acknowledge Jade’s disappearance. Eileen and Roz decide to write a comparative article together exposing the governor’s discrimination. And two articles went viral.
Elsewhere, within an hour, Stanley received word that the Pritchards were buying up land. And Eileen discovered that most of the funding from the missing and murdered Indigenous women by the governor of the crisis group went to the public relations firm of Conrad Pritchard. She confronted him about this, but this only upset his son Aaron.
In the end Alaska Daly Episode 6, A Concerned Citizen came to Eileen’s office with a gun. While she begged him not to use it, he told her that she “left him no choice”. And cut to black.

Our prediction for episode 7 of Alaska Daily
An Enemy of the People preview shows the Concerned Citizen’s behavior escalating after his run-in with Eileen. The police become aware of the hostage situation and SWAT teams surround Daily Alaskan. The other reporters and Aaron rush to the scene, with Bob even eerily stating, “He’s not planning on getting out alive.”
Inside an office building, a Concerned Citizen tells Eileen, “You’re spreading lies. You suppress the truth. And now you’re dead.” At the end of the promo, gunshots are heard and a SWAT member says, “Shots! Shots fired!”
We have no doubt that Eileen will survive being held hostage by the Concerned Citizen. She’s the star of the show, so she’s not going anywhere anytime soon. However, the hostage situation will be tense and could leave Eileen scarred for a long time. And maybe she does get hurt during a traumatic event, or maybe a Concerned Citizen gets shot.
Be that as it may, the Concerned Citizen should not be contacted. And we expect the hostage situation to have ripple effects throughout the rest of the season.
Alaska Daly Episode 7 “Enemy of the People” airs February 23, 2023 at 10:00 pm ET on ABC. In the meantime, watch the first six episodes on Hulu.
