Getting to know the characters is an integral part of most Disney trips, visiting during the holidays makes these interactive events all the more magical as Mickey, Minnie and all their friends look festive when they’re dressed in their best Christmas outfits.
Holidays at Disney Parks is a season of unique experiences that can only be enjoyed during a visit in November and December. Along with a long list of celebrations and special events, this season’s Meet and Greets character also has a festive touch. Fan-favorite faces on big and small screen are ready for Christmas, dressed in delightfully whimsical outfits and costumes. Some of these “meet and greets” can only be seen during Mickey’s Christmas party, but there are others that are easy to spot during the holidays. Such notable examples include:
Mickey and Minnie
No trip to any Disney park is complete without a hug from Mickey and Minnie, and they can be found at several locations within the park. However, during the holidays, they don cozy Christmas sweaters or festive formal wear for both the regular Meet and Greets and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. As traditional as Meet and Greet with Santa Claus himself, Mickey and Minnie never miss an opportunity to chat with guests.
Chip and Dale
Just a couple of crazy rascals out to have some fun, Chip and Dale don’t mind getting a little naughty during the holidays. Like many roaming characters encountered in the parks, interactions with them are more or less random. However, they were seen running through Hollywood studios dressed in red and green to celebrate with the rest of Tinseltown.
Although he is not a Meet and Greet character, EPCOT’s beloved purple dragon deserves an honorable mention. Figment was seen wearing an EPCOT-themed blue Christmas sweater in Journey Into the Imagination.

While its attraction isn’t the only one to receive a festive decoration, it’s interesting to see how the attraction’s mascot received a little special treatment to get into the spirit of the season.
There are a few places to meet Santa Claus at several Disney parks, but seeing Goofy don his clumsy Santa costume at Mickey’s Christmas party is definitely a sight to behold. Goofy is always a delightfully goofy Meet and Greet character, but the image of a huge Santa suit dangling from his lanky body is truly worthy of one of his many cartoons. Mostly Santa Goofy was seen at the Christmas party, as well as parades and special events.
Jack and Sally
Goofy isn’t the only character to don a Santa costume this time of year, as Jack Skellington dons his Sandy Claws costume just in time for Mickey’s Christmas party. Guests who can head to the City Square Theater during the celebration will be able to meet Jack and Sally, much like Mickey’s not-so-scary Halloween party, albeit with a more festive twist. It’s a fun look and totally in season, with or without the event.
Donald and Scrooge
Mickey’s Christmas Carol it’s a time-honored tradition for many Disney fans, and even the parks are taking notice. For example, Donald and Scrooge McDuck were seen together during a Christmas party.

While Donald wears simple Christmas clothes, Scrooge’s outfit resembles both of them. DuckTales look and his role as Ebenezer in the animated special. Either way, this is a great dose of Disney fan service.
Along with her friend Minnie, Daisy also supports her inner fashionista by attending a “Very Merry Christmas” party in full holiday attire. While Daisy may not be as popular as some of the bigger names on the guest list, she is still a member of Park’s main characters and always makes a statement with her appearance. With that in mind, she is still high on many guests’ checklists.
toy story Characters
No Christmas is complete without toys under the tree, and Woody, Buzz and Jesse are ready to decorate the halls of the Hollywood studio with their holiday gear. It’s a simple approach compared to some of the outfits that characters like Chip and Dale or Goofy wear, but it’s fun to know that characters get into the spirit outside of the Magic Kingdom. Sometimes a few vests and a Santa hat can make a huge difference.
Pooh and his friends
There are no characters that embody coziness and comfort better than Winnie the Pooh and his friends from the Hundred Acre Wood. Putting on winter clothes for Winnie the Pooh’s Many Adventures in Fantasyland, Pooh, Piglet, Tigger and Eeyore warm up in their colorful scarves and are ready to celebrate the holidays with all their visiting friends. As demonstrated toy story come on, sometimes the simplest approach is the most effective.
